问题及答案 (question & Answer)
1. Do you celebrate your family members' birthday? [Why/why not?]

Ummm… actually, my parents love to celebrate our birthdays and I love to have those happy events. I have three brothers and sisters and all of our birthdays are celebrated - sometimes at home and sometimes at restaurants. However, my parents avoid celebrating their own birthdays by all means. It was a perplexing issue for me as a child but now I realise why many adults do not like to celebrate their own birthdays.

2. Do you usually celebrate your birthdays?

Yes, I do. Although it is not very huge party but I make sure that there is a party and that I have all my near and dear ones surrounding me during my birthday.

I usually am not a very big birthday fan. I think there should not be any reason to celebrate life and oneself. I am one of those who would give myself or any one else gifts out of the box with no reasons and at any time of the year.

3. What kind of birthday gifts do you like to receive?

Indeed, I love to receive clothes (attires) books, as well as footwears. But it doesn'tmatter for me that gift is expensive or not. Because I surmise that gifts are gestures of love. So, I happily accept all the gifts.

4. How do children celebrate birthdays in your country?

Well, just as birthdays are relevant for most people, the same applies to me. It is an important event for me because it doesn’t come often, but rather once a year; therefore, I treat it as a particular day, unlike the rest of the days. I do a lot of activities that I usually do not do on an average day. For instance, having fun on the beach and spending time in a restaurant.

8. How do children celebrate birthdays in your country?

That’s an interesting question, but I would say that my region’s celebration of children’s birthdays mostly depends on the background the child comes from. In other words, wealthy families celebrate their child’s special day on a high note, giving him/her a fantastic moment. However, children from underprivileged backgrounds may be neglected due to a lack of money, or parents may see no reason to make that day memorable for their kids.

After discussing with him, we booked a top-rated hotel nearby, ordered some food from a well-known restaurant in advance and hired sound systems to entertain the people. After that, I began sending invitations to my family and friends to come over in the next 28 hours. During the event, we danced, ate and drank. It is a day I will never forget because it was wonderful.
